Kilimanjaro Tanzania Music Awards (KTMA) is the most awaited event in Tanzania entertainment calendar with artistes anticipating to be awarded for their performance in the past year. This year’s nominees have been announced with Diamond leading with 10 nominations.
However, Diamond is one of the fierce critics of KTMA 2015 when he recently disputed the nomination process pointing out that some deserving artistes had been left out. Mo Music, famed for the ‘Basi Nenda’ hit song is at the centre of the contention having been mentioned by Diamond, Video Director Adam Juma among many other industry players as one who should have been in the Upcoming Artiste Of The Year Category.
Nay Wa Mitego, who featured Diamond in the ‘Muziki Gani’ has also joined the hullabaloo claiming that most of the artistes nominated in the category do not merit to be part of it.
