Tanzanian singer Diamond Platinumz has once again clashed with the Tanzanian government laws.
The “Number One” singer was on Friday July 27, intercepted by the officials from Tanzania’s entertainment regulatory body, BASATA at the Julius Nyerere International Airport in Dar Es Salaam as he prepared to board a flight to Comoros where he was due to perform.
According to the BASATA Secretary General Onesmo Mabuye, Diamond was stopped because he refused to get a permit for the performance.
Under new rules, musicians from Tanzania apparently have to report to BASATA to get a permit before travelling for international shows to ensure their safety.
