Media personality Detacha Sakalaman has shared his thoughts on alcohol consumption, revealing that he doesn’t drink but rather uses alcohol only when necessary.

Speaking during an interview on Sanyuka TV, Detacha explained that there’s a big difference between using and drinking alcohol. According to him, responsible consumption is all about knowing one’s limits.
“Using is knowing and having a limit to what you want, but drinking is different,” Detacha said.
He emphasized that people shouldn’t depend on intoxicants to function, questioning why anyone would believe they need alcohol to perform or socialize.
“You have to know your limits. I don’t agree with people who say they need intoxicants to do certain things. Were you not able to function when you were a kid not using those things? Just use these things and not abuse them,” he added.
Detacha went on to suggest that people should stop using the word drink and instead say use, since the mindset behind it determines one’s level of control.
“Don’t drink a whole crate; take like six bottles or four and that’s it,” he advised.
