Ugandan musician Desire Luzinda who staged her “Black and White” concert at Serena Hotel Kampala last Friday has thanked fans for being loyal and showing the much needed support. The “Equation” singer revealed that she was humbled by the love showed by fans at her charity concert.
Desire even went ahead to thank the sponsors of the show. “I would like to thank every one of you that took part in making the Black and White Affair a success. A bigger thank you goes to my sponsors, my team that worked tirelessly for I did not do this show, they did it!” she posted on her wall today.
Luzinda held her concert at Serena Hotel, where just recently fellow singer Judith Babirye’s concert failed to attract fans. Only a handful showed up for Babirye’s “Webale” concert. Although by 9pm few fans had showed up for Luzinda’s “Black and White” concert, the numbers grew by the minute there after and Desire didn’t disappoint. “Her performance was world class, I loved the way she kept changing costumes and keeping her fans entertained,” said a fan at the show.
At the concert, her hubby bought an album cd at 1 million shillings, her 10 year old daughter also made a touching speech that left some ladies in tears and others amazed. Her costume selection is still the talk of town.
The sexy singer even went ahead to post a message for her haters and thank fellow musicians today. “To those that lived to put me down, you have not the slightest idea that you were giving me more energy to prove you wrong and I still thank you. I can now smile from ear to ear coz am a WINNER! Ki Radiology and Weasel, Allan Toniks Myko Ouma and the Band a big hug to you. God Bless you all,” she posted.
This was the first time that Desire Luzinda held a concert at the spacious Serena Hotel. In the past, Musicians Judith Babirye, Maurice Kirya, Juliana Kanyomozi have staged concerts in the same place. Gagamel boss and musician Bebe Cool will also be holding his “Best of Bebe Cool” show there in August.
