The latest news reaching us from Dembe FM indicate that news anchor Hadijah Mwanje has finally declared her intentions to join politics.
According to our close sources, Mwanje is eyeing the Masaka District Woman MP seat where she will be standing against the incumbent NRM’s Fred Mubanda.
“I was inspired to contest after seeing many individuals in parliament that are so wanting because most of them cannot even reason out issues apart from making noise and I think am better than most of them,” Mwanje said.
She is said to have already started consultative meetings with top leaders in her area on which party ticket to contest on and confirmed that she is ready to quit her job at Dembe FM to engage in active politics come next year.
