The Dei Group of Companies has officially launched Bella Grain Wheat Flour, a premium, locally produced flour brand set to revolutionize baking in Uganda.

The launch event, held at the Kampala Sheraton Hotel, marked a significant milestone for the company as it expands its portfolio with a product aimed at meeting the needs of both industrial and household bakers.
Speaking at the event, Ronald Ssemakula Katali, General Manager of Dei Group of Companies, emphasized the company’s commitment to quality and innovation in the baking industry.
“We are proud to unveil Bella Grain, a homegrown product that speaks directly to the gaps in quality and consistency that our bakers have struggled with for years,” Katali said.
Katali highlighted that Bella Grain is not just about better baking, but also about delivering higher yields, allowing bakers to get more value out of every kilogram of flour.
Produced by Dei Industries International Ltd, known for its adherence to international standards, Bella Grain comes in various variants tailored for different needs. These include Bakers’ Flour, ideal for bread production, and Home Baking Flour, perfect for household pastries such as chapatis and mandazi.
“We’ve rebranded, and this launch is our way of telling our clients thank you for your support over the last decade. Here’s something even better,” Katali added. “We are committed to ensuring Bella Grain becomes the number one choice in the market.”
One of Bella Grain’s standout features is its high water absorption capacity, which directly translates into improved baking yields.

“If you use a 50kg bag of ordinary flour and get two jerrycans of dough, with Bella Grain, you’ll get two and a half. That’s extra value,” Katali explained.
This improved yield is made possible by optimizing the flour’s moisture content, which Dei Group has reduced to levels even lower than the 13.5% standard set by the Uganda National Bureau of Standards (UNBS). This allows bakers to add more water during mixing without compromising the final product’s quality.
With Bella Grain, Dei Group is not only offering a superior baking solution but is also reinforcing its role as a key player in Uganda’s agro-processing industry, driving quality, value, and innovation.
