De Nu Eagles band under Geoffrey Lutaaya and his wife Irene Namatovu and Golden band with with its members Mesach Ssemakula, Stecia Mayanja and Ronald Mayinja among others staged mega shows during the easter holiday weekend.
Sunset pub in Nansana hosted the Golden band while Holly Fam in Nansana was the place to be for all De Nu Eagles fans. Revellers from all corners of Kampala showed up to support their own as numbers kept bulging by the minute at both pubs.
With support from other musicians like Doctor Hilderman, Golden band staged a performance to remember. Crowds could not help but dance to their favourite tunes. The pub was full to the extent that some people filled neighbouring buildings just to catch a glimpse at their favorite stars performing.
Lutaaya and Irene were well received by the crowd as they performed together. Fans went wild as the newly wedded couple worked them with tunes like ‘Aliba ani’ among several others. Lutaaya made things even juicier when he asked fans to support Golden band too. Nince Henry and Harriet Kisaakye also came to support them.
Golden band and De Nu Eagles bands were born from Eagles Production band following irreconcilable differences among members and management last month.
