Nigerian singer-songwriter and harmonica player, Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo popularly known as D’banj is in trying times.

According to Ladun Liadi, the self styled kokomaster is in a big mess that might cause him to be jailed. The 34-year-old Zaria born is in a mess over money. It was said that the singer has been owing  a technology company, named MindHub Technologies the sum of  $240,000 and another  company N15,000,000. The artiste did not deny these claims but issued them post-dated cheques which bounced.

The technology company has now taken the issue up in legally. They made it known that after all efforts made by them for him to pay proved abortive, the singer has paid only N8,600,000 out of the N15,000,000 and has not paid a single penny from the $240,000 since last year. Read the letter addressed to him below:

“We act as Solicitors to MINDHUB TECHNOLOGIES LTD (hereinafter called “OUR CLIENT”), and on whose instruction we write you this letter in the manner stated hereunder.

It is our brief that sometime in January 2013 in Lagos, you signed a Personal Guarantee/Memorandum of Undertaking with our client wherein you agreed/undertook to pay our client the investment fund of N100,000,000.00k (One Hundred Million Naira Only) given to D KINGS MEDIA LIMITED by our client, should the latter default in payment of the debt. The said debt is made up of Nigerian and United States of America’s currencies.”

It was revealed that the case is already in a Lagos high court and due for hearing. It has been almost impossible for months now for the singer to be served because he has been outside the country. Although some are of the opinion that it was in a bid to escape being served that made him to stay permanently in the US.
