The last time Daxx Kartel was in the news was when he was rumoured to be dating fellow musicians Sheebah and Irene Ntale until he released a song called ‘Baala’ at the end of last year.

The song that instantly became a mega hit talks about how Ugandans love drinking and sleep in bars. Much to his delight, the song plays almost at every party and Radio station. When he was asked why he did this particular song, Daxx revealed that he was inspired by Ugandans.

“The only reason is that 98 per cent of Ugandans are drunkards and we are the leading country in alcohol consumption in Africa,” he said.

“Besides that, the story behind the song is that there is some advice in it which is over consumption of alcohol is always bad,” he added.

We will keep you posted.
