Singer Dax Vibez has spoken out against remarks made by Eddy Kenzo, the president of the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF), regarding the distribution of government financial aid to artists.

Kenzo recently stated that musicians aligned with the National Unity Platform (NUP) should not expect to receive any financial support through the artists’ SACCO, arguing that it would be “biting the hand that feeds you,” since the funding comes from the ruling government.
However, Dax Vibez, who is also known for his brotherly ties to NUP president Bobi Wine, strongly disagreed with Kenzo’s position.
“That money is from taxpayers, and everyone—including those from NUP and those who don’t support NUP—are all taxpayers. Therefore, all services cannot be segregative,” Dax Vibez stated.
He went on to emphasize that Kenzo, as president of the federation, represents all Ugandan musicians regardless of political affiliation.
“Kenzo is a president for all musicians, not just those who belong to NRM. He lacks information and education on that matter,” Dax added.
