Renowned Nigerian singer David Adedeji Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, is set to grace the Ugandan stage for his first official concert in the country on Good Friday, March 29, 2024, this website has learnt.
Organized by Timeless Concerts Kampala and Eastern Vibes, the event promises to be a musical extravaganza, marking Davido’s official inaugural live performance in Uganda. The show’s venue, however, remains undisclosed, adding an air of anticipation to the upcoming event.
Davido’s last visit to Uganda dates back to January 1, 2019, when he took the stage at the Pearl of Africa Hotel. Despite a tardy start to the show, the multi-award-winning artist won over the crowd with his infectious vibes and energetic performance, leaving revelers impressed and ready to usher in the new year.
This upcoming concert holds special significance as it marks Davido’s official concert debut in Uganda, providing fans with an opportunity to witness the “Feel” hitmaker’s dynamic stage presence and musical prowess.
The Nigerian singer has a history with Uganda, having previously performed at Freedom City in 2014 and collaborating with Ugandan artist Pallaso in 2015. Known for his contributions to Afrobeats, Davido is widely recognized as one of the genre’s most influential artists in the 21st century.
