Davido may have long left the country but his recently held concert at Freedom City continues to stir controversy. A section of the public surmise that the concert was a flop, and this has since become a point of contention. The discussion was again brought to the fore after Chameleone’s son Abba Marcus headlined a successful concert at Freedom City.

A fierce clash sparked off after a one Chameloene fan dared to compare Abba Marcus to Davido.
He posted: “They say, I hear, that Davido is an international star but he failed to pull up such a crowd at freedom but ABBA MARCUS aka T-REX has done it …. its not yet Game Over coz the future is calling.. Team Abba Marcus we are forward”

The brains behind the Davido soon jumped into the discussion to dismiss the flop claims and fired subliminal shots at the young star as well. Chin Cee Cee, the chief organizer of the concert commented: “Congs to the youngster but wat was entrance fee anybody I hear 3k and free is this true lets try to congratulate and stop the hate with it or Ugandans will also b outcasts everywhere but uganda davido is a big star the best artist in Africa if Uganda want to shun him it’s kl but uganda should get ready to b shun all over the world.”
A one Razak De Original fired back; “Chin there’s no hate here bro.. Abba’s show wasn’t for free like ur dreamt it was.. free shows are put in open space my friend”
Sheila Patience Zella, also one of the Davido concert organizers, chipped in; “100% Chin Cee Cee Davido is Africa’s number 1 Abba us also a younger great artists but stop putting down people’s work and talents it takes. A strong person to do all was done we are Africans let’s learn to appreciate each other”
Meanwhile, Abba Marcus has received a nod in the Hipipo music awards for his single “Game Over”.
