After recording a hit song together, one would have expected Nigerian singer Davido and his East African counterpart, Diamond Platinumz from Tanzania, to work together even on more projects, but this is not the case especially after Platinumz got a lot of recognition for the Number One song and later disagreed with Davido over Big Brother Africa.
Reports indicate that Davido didn’t like the fact that he was not recognized for his role in the song that has won Diamond several awards including a channel o award. He said that he was a cheat and that he would fall anytime soon. “An ungrateful stone will eventually fall… I will always be grateful to people that have helped me climb this tall ladder of success,” he said.
Ugandan singer, Pallaso has also weighed in on the feud and sided with Davido with whom he did a collabo on his recent visit to Uganda.
According to Pallaso, Davido is his brother and he would never say anything against him. He was angry at a journalist who recently called him asking for his view about the Davido fight. Pallaso said that he has no problem with Diamond and also takes Davido as his brother.
“I just received a phone call from Bongo radio in Tanzania asking me about my views on the Davido & Diamond Platinumz situation!! Look I know Davido like a brother in a much more personal way now & got 100% love for him & I recognize Diamond as another fellow East African artist so I totally have no reason to have any views in this whole situation!! I’m just another lucky East African artist that Davido gave an opportunity to do better business & I wish to have no more further involvement in this situation. One love Africa,” Chameleone’s brother stated.
Well, it remains to be seen whether Pallaso will get Davido to bury the hatchet with Diamond and work together as Diamond recently called for a cease fire. He apologized for his role in the feud and asked that Davido forgives him.
