As Ugandans get over the fact that His Excellence President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni didn’t know that Cranes was the National team but rather just a football club like SC Villa, Express or Bizmack that existed in the mid-1950s, dates for the Cranes’ engagements have been set.
The development follows a communication sent to the FIFA General Secretary Jerome Valcke, from the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) confirming that the second round return leg match of the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia qualifiers between Uganda Cranes and the Sparrow Hawks of Togo will be played in November.
According to the federation’s website, the game will played on 14th November, 2015 at the Mandela National stadium, Namboole with kick-off set for 4pm.
However, Togo Football Federation is yet to confirm the date for the first leg even when FUFA copied them in the letter together with the CAF Competitions Department.
