Daniel Sturridge has revealed that he’d like to try his hand at acting after he retires from football.
Speaking to Esquire, the Liverpool and England striker said that he enjoyed studying drama at school and would like to give acting a go in the future.
He said: “I loved drama class at school. I never took it seriously as I was playing football. But maybe when I retire, I’ll have a dabble.”
Sturridge continued to speak about his fashionable teammates, saying: “I think the stereotype about footballers being badly dressed is unfair.
“Hendo [Jordan Henderson] dresses quite well. [Mamadou] Sakho is very dressy, he’ll show up to training in a smart shirt and shoes, though I think that’s a Parisian thing. Brad Jones has a go, loves a blazer, Brad Jones…”
Sturridge went on to talk about England’s disappointing World Cup campaign, saying: “Obviously, it was disappointing. But I lived one of my dreams: I scored a goal at a World Cup. I feel that I gave a good account of myself.”
