Stand Up comedy in Uganda has been a revelation. Until recently, the industry has been spiraling upwards with talent unearthed from different parts of the city. Our weekdays are treated to some rib cracking from groups like Laftaz Comedy, The Crackers and pioneers Fun Factory. Such has been the rise of comedy in Uganda.
Daniel Omara is one of the talents that our eyes have been accustomed to on TV and on stage and his talent is undisputed so seeing him named as one of the top comedians in Africa was exciting.

The comedian-cum-actor made it to Number 19 best comedian in Africa on a list compiled by officiallaughs.com.The list also boasts Africa’s comedic crème de la crème like Trevor Noah who tops the list followed by Basket Mouth and a host of top comedians.
Top comedian Patrick Salvador endorsed the results and congratulated his buddy Daniel Omara on his achievement.
