A one beautiful and strong lady, Daisy Namazzi, was crowned the new Miss Muteesa I Royal University in a ceremony that was held at Club Ambiance, Masaka branch on Saturday.
The beauty contest was participated in by 12 beauties from the 3 campuses of Luweero, Kakeka and Masaka. Daisy Namazzi, a first year Development Studies student emerged winner, Mercy Sabira, a second-year-student of Education and Design emerged first runner-up while Olivia Nakanwagi a third-year-student of Business management, was second runner-up.
The event that was graced by some senior citizens in the country saw Namazzi walk away with 3M Ugx hard cash. She attributes her success to self-confidence and thorough preparation and she promised to polish up fellow students, especially females’ talents through her one year reign.
