Daddy Andre accused of selling stolen song again

Producer Daddy Andre is in hot soup after being accused of selling a song that belonged to an upcoming singer to a prominent singer.

Daddy Andre is said to have double crossed an upcoming musician and sold her song to another singer and that the song is now a hit.

“Originally, the collabo song was supposed to be called “Nsitula” but Daddy Andre changed title and a few lines and song it to someone.”

This isn’t the first time Daddy Andre has been accused of double crossing artistes. The same saga happened between him and Angelina over the “you and me” song that he sang with Lydia Jazmine.

Judith Babirye reportedly relocates to USA

Singer and now politician Judith Babirye has reportedly fled the country and is said to have relocated to the states a few weeks ago.

Judith Babirye is said to have had a hard time before travelling as her marriage was on rocks. Babirye is also said to have gone for a long vacation as she makes strategy to return for a straining campaign session ahead of the general elections in 2021.

Alex Muhangi and Comedy Store inspire comedy as more weekly shows evolve

Comedy is another rapidly evolving field in entertainment. In the last two week of July, Kampala alone has had upto 5 live comedy shows and all had an audience full to the brim. Nseko Buseko, Silent Comedy, Rock Wednesday, Just Comedy and Comedy Store all had venues full in the last two weeks.

A keen comedy lover and observant must have already learnt that comedy in Kampala has it’s warmest reception ever in Uganda but we go back to the genesis of this massive treck.

Long before comedy got serious in Kampala, Alex Muhangi started Comedy Store, a weekly comedy show that many thought was a crazy idea to invite people to comedy every week. Comedy Store has over the years stood, proved and given comedians the confidence that they are loved.

All other comedy shows that come after get the courage and inspiration from the existance of Comedy Store.

Uganda International Fashion Week returns with a bang

Form is temporary, Class is permanent.  Arapapa CEO Santa Anzo proved the saying when she made a comeback ten years after she last hosted the fashion week. Hosted by Santa Anzo in proud association with the Department of Arts and Culture, The Republic of South Africa, the long anticipated grand finale of the Uganda International Fashion week was precise and an international standard show.With international fashion producer Jan Malan directing the show, the show would have been in Milan or Paris only that it was in Kampala. The designers who included top Ugandan designers Santa Anzo of Arapapa ,Abbas Kaijuka  of Kia Diva Collections, Stella Atal, Paula Butagira  and South Africa’s Alvada collections, Judith Artelier and Mmuso Maxwell showcased interesting and exciting collections.While addressing the guests Santa Anzo who was overwhelmed with the love she received at the show promised to host another fashion show next year.

“Fashion is not what you have seen tonight, this is the strategy of the industry, Fashion like agriculture and transport, like communication and tourism, like banking and finance ladies and gentlemen Fashion like petroleum and gas, Fashion is a multi-million industry waiting to be tapped and Uganda the time is now,” said Santa.The CEO Uganda Tourism Board Lilly Ajarova applauded Santa Anzo for putting up a great show and reminded the guests about the beauty Uganda holds.

“Uganda is a special place, We want to share the beauty of this pearl with all people,” Said Ajarova .

As they took a bow they played Rickyman’s Embago waliwanika indeed Santa raised the bar.
