Crested Cranes coach Majidah Nantanda names final squad to travel to Kenya

Majidah Nantanda, the head coach of the Uganda National Women’s football team, the Crested Cranes on Thursday evening named her final squad that will travel to Kenya on Friday (1st July) for a friendly match.

The team will travel by road to Kisumu, Kenya where they will be playing a friendly game with Uhuru Kenyatta’s Starlets on Sunday, 3rd July.

Nantanda released the list after the team’s last local training session at the Phillip Omondi Stadium, Lugogo. The travelling contingent is comprises of 19 players, two of which are goalkeepers and the other seventeen being outfield players.

Crested Cranes final squad to Kenya for the friendly match on Sunday in Kisumu:

Goalkeepers: Fatuma Matovu (She Corporates), Ruth Aturo (Kawempe Muslim SS)

Outfield players: Christine Wanyana (Buikwe She Red Stars), Stella Nassuna Kaliba (She Corporates), Viola Namuddu (Kawempe SS), Rachael Ndagire (Gafford Ladies), Florence Nakalule (Gafford Ladies), Naome Nagadya (She Corporates), Tracy Akiror (Kawempe Muslim SS), Yudaya Nakayenze (Kawempe Muslim SS), Shakira Hussein Nalwoga (She Corporates), Halima Kembabazi (She Corporates), Zaina Namuleme (Ghadafi Integrated), Joan Nakirya (Kawempe Muslim SS), Tina Nambirigge (She Corporates), Sandra Nabweteme (Kawempe Muslim SS), Hasifa Nassuna (Kawempe Muslim SS), Asia Nakibuuka (London College, Nansana), Natasha Shirazi (Ballerupskovlude Foothold BSF, Denmark)
