Court has today granted popular Ugandan musician Bebe Cool and his forensics team permission to examine the YouTube channel “Comedy Store UG,” owned by comedian Alex Muhangi.
This move aims to investigate how much revenue was earned from videos that featured Bebe Cool’s content.
The forensic audit will focus on understanding the financial benefits gained from uploading material involving the singer.
The court also stated that there will be no further legal actions on this matter unless Bebe Cool and his legal team decide to push the case further.
This development comes after Bebe Cool filed a lawsuit against Alex Muhangi, accusing him of infringing on neighbouring rights by using his content without proper permission.
