Uganda played to a goalless draw in their buildup match against Kenya on Tuesday evening at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole  as they prepare to face off with Comoros on Sunday, September 4th.

Following the goalless draw, Cranes midfield Tony Mawejje says that he is confident that they will win on Sunday when they take on the Group D opponents in the final match of the 2017 AFCON qualifiers.

“It has been a good test for us although we didn’t win because if you want to win, you score goals and we didn’t do that,” Mawejje remarked in a post-match press briefing at Namboole, before assuring fans that they will defeat Comoros. “I am confident that we will win on Sunday.”

Uganda will host Comoros in a do or die clash at Namboole. Anything less than a win for the Micho-coached side will see them miss out on the finals of the 2017 edition that is scheduled to be hosted in Gabon.
