Comedian Joshua Okello Okello and his team should be looking at a bigger venue for his April edition of the Comedy Black Friday. The show that happened last Friday at National Theater was full to the brim as other revelers sat out at the bar section with their headsets and just listened to the comedy since it was about having headphones and silently listening to the jokes but loudly laughing.
The idea of the headphones (silent comedy) started in 2019 when Okello realized he needed to add another idea on Uganda’s comedy and so far, he is the only comedian who delivers silently through headphones.
The crowds that attended last Friday’s show sat, waited and indeed, the comedian that Okello Okello brought through delivered. From Optional Allan, Cash Owakabi, Emma Napoleone, Dr Hillary and Cotilda, they all didn’t disappoint as they delivered their jokes one after the other.
Okello Okello who hosted his own show always made sure he cracked jokes before calling the second act who also continued to crack the already broken revelers ribs’.
Many comedians stood out but the biggest highlight was Dr Hillary who made the silent jokes sound loudest. He cracked fresh jokes that many of the crowds didn’t see coming and there is no way you would fail to laugh at them.
Other comedians all did great and at the end of the show, Okello Okello announced that he will return in April for another edition of Comedy Black Friday.
