Moments after he apologized for attacking the organizers of the Konshens – Busy Signal battle, fans have hurled all sorts of insults at comedian Salvado, a sign that they are not yet ready to forgive him.
Salvado expressed disappointment in the organizers for putting the battle on the same day as Irene Ntale’s concert. He said that this was because Ugandan promoters are greedy and have no respect for local talent.
“I’m very disappointed in the organizers of the “Jamaican Battle” because out of greed, they didn’t even acknowledge that a young Ugandan female artists who has been interviewed on World BBC News in the UK as a UGANDAN DIVA is to launch her first ever album as an established artist. This is just heart breaking,” he said.
This however didn’t go down well with Ugandans who love Jamaican music. They threw all sorts of insults at him for what he had said.
One fan was clear when he called Salvador a gone case who could be taking cheap weed. “How can he say such a thing? I think he could be smoking cheap weed and he should stop that or else he will end up losing even the little respect we have for him,” said one fan.
Salvado was fast to retract the statement and apologize. In his apology, he said; “In respect of what Pepsi has done over the years in support of local talent including myself, I’ve deleted my post, if there has been any damage done, I sincerely apologize, it was never my intention.”
However this didn’t save him as fans continued to insult him. “He is not even a good comedian. This country lacks real comedians and is full of masqueraders. I am not shocked he said this,” said another fan.
“All I know about Salvado’s is that they are human girl child traffickers, drug cartels and arms dealers especially in Brazil and along Californian Mexican border,” read another comment.
We will keep you posted.
