As many Kampala women stormed Garden City Rooftop for the Women’s day concert with Nyanda and Cindy yesterday, Salvador, a city comedian gave his special woman the freedom to do as she pleased all day. Yes, she was free to even cheat on him if she wanted.
He allowed her a hall pass. A hall pass is permission given to someone to do whatever they like instead of fulfilling either girlfriend or wife duties, obligations etc within a given period of time.
Salvador posted on his wall saying, “Women’s day is all about the woman. I’ve given ma woman a hall pass, she can do whatever she wants today, have fun, drink herself silly, fight, even cheat… It’s her day, me I’m gonna be the man who stays home and takes care of Abi. So, I don’t want to hear gossip mbu I saw ur mukazi doing simanyi biki biki.. They only have one day riyale.”
We are not sure whether she cheated on him, but one thing we are sure of is that we are not allowed to gossip about the matter. If you watched the 2011 American comedy Hall Pass, I am sure you will get the whole point.
