The Ugandan entertainment industry is in mourning following the death of beloved comedian Nicholas Mpirwe, popularly known as Messe B Nikolas.
The news of his passing was confirmed on Thursday, December 12, 2024.
Messe passed away in the United States, where he had relocated several years ago in search of better opportunities.
Grace Sekamatte, a former Eagles Production singer and a close friend who had been with Messe in the U.S., was the first to share the heartbreaking news.
Messe is fondly remembered for his role in the legendary comedy group, The Amarula Family, where he performed alongside Amooti.
Before his U.S settlement, Messe had worked on radio stations; Super FM and Dembe FM.
The group was celebrated for its humor and creativity, leaving an indelible mark on Uganda’s entertainment scene.
Details about the cause of death and funeral arrangements are yet to be announced.
As the industry and fans await further information, heartfelt condolences continue to pour in for Messe’s family, friends, and colleagues.
Messe’s contributions to comedy and entertainment will remain a cherished part of Uganda’s cultural legacy.
