Comedian Kato Lubwama has won the Rubaga South Member of Parliament seat beating veteran politician Ken Lukyamuzi hands down. The former Radio presenter managed to garner 26,300 votes from his supporters, sending him to the August house.

Speaking about his plans for his people, Lubwama promised to deal with the unemployment problem in his constituency.

“I won the election because of the people of Rubaga, they never stopped supporting me during the campaigns, I will represent them well, I will try very hard to be a social worker and help kick out poverty out of my constituency. I will start with the unemployed youth, create for them small businesses like technical jobs. I am prepared to change their lives,”  he said as he accepted his win before voters.

Congratulations to Kato.
