Comedienne Anne Kansiime will be honoured for her charity work at a ceremony that will take place in Dubai this month. The funny woman from Kabale will receive a Pan-African Humanitarian Award.
According to the organisers of the award ceremony, Kansiime will be honoured for her outstanding leadership qualities and demonstration of excellence and innovation in humanitarian practices and socio-economic development in Africa.
Kansiime is currently the ambassador for “Every Last Child” campaign and Save the Children Uganda, an organisation whose work is guided by the National Development Plan and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
She also has, through her charity organisation, The Kansiime Foundation, empowered the vulnerable children of Uganda through education, talents development, career guidance and provision of basic needs.
The award ceremony will take place on 12th of November, 2016.
