Comedian Amooti Omubalanguzi is reportedly a wanted man.
According to local tabloid reports, Amooti is being hunted by Police in Wobulenzi over assault and battery. The New Amarula Family boss and his gang are accused of allegedly threatening and beating up a one Moses Senkima.
It is said that Moses was hired by Amooti to transport their equipment for their show dubbed “Akabadi k’Omwaka Laavu Simuchezo” that was held in Wobulenzi on New Year’s eve. However, after the show, Moses was asked to carry more equipment than he had earlier transported. They failed to agree on the compensation for the extra baggage thus he refused to transport the extra equipment.
This did not sit well with the New Amarula Family crew who allegedly waylaid him on his way back to Kampala and beat him to pulp, and after he could not offer any more resistance, they forced his turnboy to go back and pick all the equipment that had been left behind. Moses is now admitted in hospital where he was taken by his friends following the ordeal.
Meanwhile, Amooti has dismissed the allegations and says he is ready to battle Moses in court.
