Do you remember Desire Luzinda’s nude pictures that circulated like a wildfire? Hell, you do. Of course you have to. Some sympathizers wept with her. Some naysayers hurled themselves in the corner and laughed in their fists. Clearly, they were bound to create a storm in the tea cup. However, one artiste that picked from the whole naked saga and took it to a whole different level was Coco Finger. He tends to highlight the plight of people who have been victims of vulgarity and nude pictures. In this case, he is clearly throwing darts at Desire Luzinda, perhaps, flashing a V-sign while at it, but silently defending her.
Shot by Jahlive, the Kifananyi video, however, hardly shows anyone undressing, or something along that line. It only shows how Coco Finger is living large, cruising in a lengthy limousine and arriving like a superstar, with all the glitz and glamor. He proceeds to storm a mini-party, pouring champagne down his throat. Donning a blinding white suit. Highfiving his hangers-on. It is a silly video compared to what the song is about. Completely out of touch with the storyline. But therein lies a Desire mockery, which, I am sure, Coco knows, but won’t shed light on.
If it was a song about Coco’s elevated status and how the Luo Ambassador has made a name out of scratch, it would have been a decent video. But this is about nakedness and taking selfies and its condemnation. He doesn’t show anything like that. He sings about how he won’t disrespect a woman and how he never wishes a woman to disrespect him. He never shows that either. It is gibberish. A pile of claptrap, pulling over in a rented limousine and living on a certain borrowed lifestyle.
