Love was in the air on Valentine’s Day, and Coca-Cola Beverages Uganda (CCBU) added a touch of sweetness to the occasion for three lucky couples. In a heartwarming celebration, CCBU rewarded couples who participated by expressing their affection through heartfelt letters on social media, with the most-liked posts earning dinner dates at Protea Hotel, Naguru.
Among the winners were Chrismas Mucunguzi and Nambega Deborah, whose love story blossomed from friendship at work. Chrismas, clearly smitten, expressed his joy at the win, and said, “I chose a special person with whom to celebrate Valentine’s Day.” Deborah, while acknowledging that Valentine’s Day is typically a normal day for her, expressed her appreciation for CCBU’s gesture: “CCBU transformed it from a normal day and made it special by giving us a treat.”
Their evening was filled with romance, from the awesome dinner to the live band serenading them with love ballads. They were both grateful to CCBU for creating such a beautiful experience, with Chrismas remarking, “CCBU has done a beautiful thing. Giving people experiences they haven’t been exposed to.”
Another couple, Daniel Nsereko and Hadijja Kigongo, shared their perspective on Valentine’s Day and CCBU’s initiative. Hadija expressed that Valentine’s Day is about showing and sharing love, and both appreciated the delightful food, music, and ambiance of the evening. They thanked CCBU for creating an opportunity for them to enjoy the romance of the evening.
Nine other lucky participants didn’t go home empty-handed. They received delightful product hampers from CBBU to celebrate Valentine’s Day.
