Uganda Cranes head coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic yesterday named a 25-man squad that will be preparing for the 2015 CECAFA Senior Challenge cup that will be hosted in Ethiopia.
Fresh from the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in which they knocked out Togo on a 4-0 aggregate, the Uganda Cranes head straight into the CECAFA Senior Challenge cup, after which they will be preparing for the 2016 CHAN finals in Rwanda.
The Serbian named his squad during the Wednesday weekly press conference at the FUFA house in Mengo, Kampala and the summoned squad immediately kicked off with drills, starting with gym work at Acacia Mall yesterday.
The Summoned Squad:
Goalkeepers: Alitho James, Kigonya Mathias, Watenga Ismail and Kisembo Douglas
Defenders: Okot Denis, Kiyemba Ibrahim, Nsubuga Joseph,Jjuko Murushid, Bakaki Shafiq, Kassaga Richard, Wasswa Hassan Dazo, Ochaya Joseph, Isaac Muleme
Midfielders: Muwanga Bernard, Ntege Ivan, Mutyaba Muzamiru, Kizito Keziron
Strikers: Miya Faroyk, Kiza Martin, Ssekisambu Erisa, Umony Brian, Okhuti Ceasar, Robert Ssentongo, Kalanda Frank, Nelson Senkatuka.
Uganda, who are 13-time record champions, are seeded in Group B with Kenya, Burundi and Zanzibar with their first game coming up on Sunday 22nd November, 2015.
