Emotions flared as deceased Kampala fashionista Johnnie Ahimbisibwe was being laid to rest at his ancestral home in Ibanda on Tuesday. The deceased’s mother, Flavia Kabembura Abooki, took off some time to tell mourners her side of the story.
She told mourners that she last talked to Johnnie on the phone and he promised to bring his child to see her. But he later told her that he would be unable to bring the child as his baby mama, Nina had stood in his way.
“I told him to take the child for DNA test to prove if he was the real father but he said that he had to die for him because he was the real father as far as he was concerned. He called me again and told me that the woman had refused to let go of the child and I encouraged him to come home so that we can talk about it and get a solution but he insisted that he was his son and he had to find a way. I am not surprised that my son died fighting for his own blood,” she told mourners.
She also revealed how he had told her about his daughter that she also never got to see. She ended her speech by talking about Johnnie’s history how he was born in 1979, went to Hoima Secondary school and later did Information technology at a University in Hoima.
Johnnie will be missed by family, relatives and friends.
We will keep you posted.
