Renowned climate activist Vanessa Nakate added a touch of glamour to her introduction ceremony, known as ‘Kwanjula,’ held yesterday.

The event served as a platform for Nakate to introduce her fellow climate activist, David Reuben.
Nakate shared a captivating video of the ceremony on her social media platforms, leaving followers intrigued with minimal details but confirming it as her Kwanjula.
Vanessa and David got engaged in November of the previous year.
Vanessa Nakate’s journey as a climate justice activist dates back to her school days, gaining global recognition around 2019 when she initiated a climate movement in Uganda, inspired by Greta Thunberg.
Vanessa has graced international forums, including the World Economic Forum and the UN General Assembly, delivering impactful speeches.
In September of the previous year, Vanessa Nakate achieved another milestone as she was appointed the UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador.
Her influence and dedication were further acknowledged when she was featured on the BBC’s 100 Women list in November 2020 and named in TIME magazine’s Time100 Next list in February 2021.
Notably, Nakate adorned the cover of TIME’s November 8/November 15, 2021, issue, solidifying her position as a key figure in the fight against climate change.
