Sorrow and frustration engulf the home of Gerald Muwonge, famously known as Clever J, as the once-popular Ugandan singer is embroiled in a bitter domestic dispute with his wife of over 20 years.
A video circulating on social media shows Clever J accusing his wife of witchcraft and labeling her as a source of bad luck.
He also claims she has intentionally refused to bear him more children, despite the couple already having two.
In her defense, Clever J’s wife, who hails from the Iteso community, denies the allegations and accuses the singer of failing to meet her demands to facilitate her departure from their Kajjansi home.
She reveals that one of her requests was for UGX 200,000 to cover transportation for herself and her belongings.
Additionally, she demanded UGX 20 million to help her start a new life, which Clever J reportedly failed to provide.
“I will not leave this home,” she declared firmly. “If anyone is to leave, it should be Clever J.”
The escalating dispute highlights the struggles the singer faces both personally and professionally. Once celebrated for his musical prowess, Clever J now finds himself mired in a public marital crisis, drawing mixed reactions from fans and the public.
As the situation unfolds, many hope for an amicable resolution between the couple, whose relationship has endured for two decades.
