Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure has warned his team-mates to show no mercy as they prepare to do battle with Manchester United.
The Citizens face United in the Manchester derby on Tuesday ,looking for a third straight win at Old Trafford ,and then head to north London on Saturday to take on an Arsenal team still bruised from their 6-0 hammering by leaders Chelsea.
Manchester City’s Ivorian forward, who grabbed the first hat-trick of his career against Fulham last weekend, has called on his Manchester City team-mates to score as many goals as possible in order to find the extra edge in the Premier League title race.
“Both games are important because we have to be sharp, clever and strong,” said Toure.
“United are not doing so well but you have to be careful against them. And Arsenal, after losing to Chelsea, will be hungrier and want their fans to believe again.
“We have to do the job, play together and be strong. Any chance we get to score we will have to take it. Then we will see what can happen.”
He added: “Derbies are never the same and they will have a lot of desire to beat us.
“We all know United are a fantastic club with a great history and have players that can play at this high level.
“If they play like they did against Olympiakos, we have to be careful.”
