For a while we may miss 3D cinema as the pioneers in the cinema business have closed all outlets. We have learnt that all Cineplex branches in Kampala have closed due to accumulated debts over the months.
We have learnt that HUB entertainment CEO who also owns Cineplex has failed to clear hundreds of millions in rent arrears and has opted to close.
This will not be good news for cinema lovers who have for a long time confided in Cineplex. The proprietor, however, maintains that the closing is aimed at restructuring and re-strategizing and will come back better.
