The Blu*3 Reunion concert, held at Sheraton Gardens in June 2024, featured a surprising moment when Cindy Sanyu’s music rival, Sheebah Karungi, attended the event.
The concert saw a significant turnout of local celebrities, a positive gesture for the unity of Uganda’s entertainment industry.
In an online interview, Cindy Sanyu, who is also the President of the Uganda Musicians Association (UMA), expressed her amazement at seeing Sheebah among the attendees.
“I was surprised to see Sheebah at our Reunion concert. At first, I didn’t believe she would attend when I saw her endorse the concert in an advert, but she finally did. It’s a good feeling for artists supporting each other at concerts,” Cindy said.
The event, organized by Talent Africa Group, marked the reunion of Cindy, Lillian Mbabazi, and Jackie Chandiru after nearly 15 years apart.
Cindy praised Sheebah and other fellow musicians who showed up to support her and her colleagues, highlighting the importance of solidarity in the music industry.
