Ciara has confirmed that she is pregnant with her first child.
The 28-year-old singer, who is engaged to rapper and producer Future, announced the news on The View today (January 14).
Speculation had been rife over whether Ciara was pregnant or not, prompting the show’s presenter Barbara Walters to ask the singer whether she wanted to confirm or deny the news.
Ciara then stood up and displayed her bump, saying: “I’m so excited for this year.”
The ‘Goodies’ star and Future got engaged in October last year after dating for a year, and accepted his proposal in New York at the weekend.
At the time that the couple started dating, Ciara said: “I’m happy. I’m with somebody that makes me feel very comfortable in this setting. He’s my best friend, so we talk about a lot of stuff. At the right time, I’m looking forward to [having a family].”
