Crazy things never cease to happen in Uganda. A church girl has come out to ask for help from the public while accussing Pastor Yiga of impregnating her and infecting her with a strange disease.
Brenda Nalule says that the Pastor of a popular church in Kawala who was her spiritual leader and used to pray for her advised her to fast and pray when she went to him back in 2008.
After the session, the pastor allegedly got her number to get in touch and keep praying for her. Brenda told a local tabloid that the pastor then started calling her up for several days and one day advised her to meet him at the church for further spiritual guidance.
According to her story, Yiga put the girl in his car, took her to a house in Ntinda for more prayer. He later emerged from one of the rooms in a towel and the rest is history. He then gave her 20000shs for transport back to her place. After the encounter, Brenda says that she felt funny, missed her periods and before long she was pregnant.
“When I tried to get to him, he refused to pick my calls. Then he ordered his body guards to make sure I don’t get near him whenever I would go to church,” Brenda adds while saying that she later had the child at the sister’s place in Mpererwe.
Her sister then advised her to take the matter to the authorities. Yiga was ordered to pay for the child’s upkeep, a thing he has never done. Brenda claims that she has a strange disease that she got from the Pastor. Brenda is currently languishing in poverty as she looks after the child.
