The Uganda Museum will on 5th June host the first ever Soul Fest , an event that will gather masses of all faith to dine, dance and celebrate with glamour.

Soul Fest will be an all day event that will see children, youth and senior citizens all have a set of activations to excite and groove to several Christian entertainers.

“We want to connect and bridge the gap between the Christians and non-Christians in a concert that will see all people connect regardless of their religions as the music connects them,” says Boniface Edidu, the Soul Fest creator.

The logic behind the Soul Fest is to make Christians have a feeling or a vibe of the Lord.

In its first edition, the Soul Fest will feature a live gospel music band, gospel DJs, and a couple of gospel artists led by Ruyonga. Others include DJ Victor, John Marie, DJ Nimso, Holy Keane among others.

“It is a family-oriented event and as such we encourage family heads to bring the children along. We have demarcated a child play area with bouncing castles and toys,” Edidu said.

For those who wish to drink, the soul fest will only be accepting soft drinks just to keep the crowds sober until the end. “Revelers should also take note that the Soul Fest is not about the genre called soul music, but gospel,” he emphasized.
