The new Director of Information at Parliament, Chris Obore has explained to his fans and listeners why there’s no longer Hardtalk on KFM. In his explanation, Obore says he was not informed in advance that the show was being scrapped.
Obore posted:
“Having been severally asked about what happened to HardTalk program on KFM radio, this is my official response. I was informed immediately after the last program I hosted, that there would no more show on Saturday. It was in the presence of two of the panelists. I had no prior information.
I was later told that research had been done and the results showed that listeners were not tuned into the program especially the young people. So they needed music program to attract the youthful audiences. I had no objection because I was merely a host of the show not the decision maker. As to why the listeners were not informed of the changes, again it’s not my fault. That is the prerogative of management. You can channel your inquiries to KFM management.
Lastly, I no longer work for KFM but will forever associate with it. I hope this puts to rest the calls and social media inquiries directed to me about HardTalk program. I thank those who really made the program part of their lives. I equally enjoyed it. But we can’t always change what is not within our means, we can only deal with what is within our control. The scrapping of HardTalk was not within our control. Lets accept it.”
