Former SC Villa boss Chris Mubiru was sent back to Luzira following a failed attempt to appeal the 10 year sentence after his lawyers communicated that they were not ready to face court.
Mubiru was found guilty of sodomizing a young boy and sentenced to 10 years in jail by Buganda Road Court Chief Magistrate Flavia Nabakooza who also ordered him to compensate the victim with 50m shillings .
Mubiru’s conviction was based on evidence from five prosecution witnesses which was corroborated with that of the investigating officer who found sodomy kits in his house.
The victim who is now 23 was 17 years at the time of commission of the offence.
