As we talk the Jamaican reggae vocalist Christopher Martins must be cursing the gods that landed him in Uganda after he was cornered into a no-show concert.
Right from power black out, to fights, to women and now to hiding from the police, all seem not to be good for the Jamaican borne musician.
Martins landed in Uganda a couple of days ago and was meant to perform at Freedom City and later on at the beach however the artist did not turn up anywhere on allegations that he was never paid. However news reaching our desk from a close friend and one of the concert organizers reveals that the dude is still stuck at his hotel due to pending payments by his promoters.
It is said that the police at the airport was instructed to arrest the singer the moment he lands at the airport for allegedly not showing up on any of the shows he was meant to perform. According to Martins, it was not his fault not to perform despite a l0w turn up but because he was never paid and therefore the police should instead be hunting for the one promoter identified as David.
Freedom City was nearly empty on the day of the concert and this can be attributed to lack of serious advertising by the promoters who only had about 2 or 3 adverts that barely run on 3 TV stations and radios.
