Local singer, Chris Evans, was robbed and beaten up by thieves.

The singer who had gone out to buy some personal effects at around 1am in Lungujja says that at first he didnt suspect anything when he saw the robbers following him until it was too late.

‘It was around 1am. They came on a bodaboda. I was in the road in Lungujja side and I was from buying some things that I needed.  I thought of running but I didn’t think they needed me, it seemed like they were minding their business. Evans who is being treated by doctors at Mengo following a head injury from the scuffle with the robbers said.

‘I thought they were minding their own business. I went into someones home. There was no gate and I hooted but that no one was coming out to help and that was it.’

The singer lost his car, a Toyota Wish and some other belongings that he had on him. He was hit on the head with a sharp object. Doctors are still working to make sure the damage doesn’t expand.
