Chelsea star John Obi Mikel allegedly assaulted a female journalist who asked him for an interview while on international duty with Nigeria.
Mikel was apparently leaving a training session with his national team when the reporter from KISS FM in Abuja approached him.
She is said to have asked the Blues midfielder for an interview to discuss Nigeria’s forthcoming matches but an irritated Mikel then lashed out.
The details were reported by BBC broadcaster Oluwashina Okeleji, who says that the journalist has since forgiven Mikel for the incident.

The journalist, who works for Kiss FM in Abuja, said she’s forgiven Mikel Obi after the assault, according to team media officer Ben Alaiya.
