Coach George Nsimbe’s KCCA FC will face a tricky visit to the Bombo Stadium today when they battle army side Simba FC.
After failing to go past the first round of the CAF Champions League when they lost 4-3 on goal aggregate to Zambia’s Nkana FC last month, the league champions are hungry to prove a point and return to continental football next year.
But playing away to 11th-placed Simba will not be an easy task either.
“Facing Simba in their Bombo Stadium is always a difficult task and we shall handle the game very carefully,” said Nsimbe.
The defending league champions KCCA FC moved to third place last week after a narrow 1-0 win over visiting Masaka LC.
KCCA are four points behind table-leaders SC Vipers, but with three games in hand.
In action tomorrow, troubled Proline FC must also get their tactics right when they play Bright Stars.
Proline FC, who have lost most of their second round games, are third from the bottom and must start winning or remain potential candidates to face the drop into the lower division.
Smarting from a 1-0 loss to KCCA FC last week, Masaka LC will also hope to return to winning ways when they host to Police in the third game.
