Mrs. Proscovia Mayanja is a proud mother to top Ugandan musicians; Chameleone,Weasel, and Pallaso. Like most parents, Mrs. Mayanja wanted her children to have the best education and attain an office job but unfortunately they had a different dream.
In a recent interview, Chameleone’s mother said that at first she wasn’t happy when her sons ventured into music because she wanted them to pursue a different career.
“Their father was among the directors of the Buganda Coffee Marketing board and we thought they could be accountants since they could easily access jobs through their father. At first I wasn’t happy when Joseph (Chameleone) joined music, later Douglas (Weasel) and Emma (AK47) also joined them. Later I decided to support them because I had no option and now I am proud of my sons,” said Mrs. Mayanja.
