Chameleone was over the weekend in Malawi to perform for his fans there. He was in the company of his crew member – AK47, who also doubles as the brother with whom he performed. The concerts were held at Blantyre and Lilongwe on Saturday and Sunday respectively.
The crowd did not disappoint as they turned up in seemingly huge numbers to catch a glimpse of the just crowned best male artiste of the year at the recently concluded Africa Entertainment awards that were held in Canada. Chameleone is certainly trying to live up to the award.
Chameleone seemed to have been pleased by the turn up and could not hide his excitement. He later posted on his facebook timeline saying: “I want to thank my MALAWIAN family. We had fun and we must enjoy another weekend like this someday…”
Chameleone has over the years established himself as a music heavy weight in the local music industry consistently releasing hits that cut across borders year after year. He has really been a great force in trying to promote and sell Uganda’s image positively away from home essentially through his music. He is one of the versatile artistes with in our music industry who have really mastered the art. He has done songs in a couple of foreign languages and this ploy has helped him attract a huge following away from home making him one of the most loved artistes across East Africa.
