As his arch rival Bobi Wine the Gladiator and initiator of Firebase Crew registered mega success of Kampala City Festival 2013, which happened on Sunday, the Leone Island boss heavy weight and self proclaimed Doctor, Jose Chameleone, has landed a juicy contract with African Union to record a song urging remnants of the defeated Lords Resistance Army (LRA) to lay down their weapons.
As majority remnants of the LRA rebels who tortured and terrorised northern Uganda for the past two decades, are on the verge of surrendering, the Badilisha star has been asked to inspire the fellas through music.
Chameleone who left the country about a week ago to Central African republic to meet US marshals and some Ugandan officers as part of the peace talks on Sunday night came out to say: “Soon I am releasing a voice on a song “COME HOME” to call on our brothers out there in LRA influence to come back to their peaceful homes than staying out there wandering in the wilderness.”
He continued to say, “As we come closer to 2014, we have to put some duties on record for our people to remember. I am greatly honored to have this chance to be an instrument of peace for my fellow Ugandans.”
Just after his nominations in the BEFFTA awards, Chameleone is achieving more international recognition and fame and raising the Ugandan Flag higher.
