Jose Chameleone
Chameleone who talked about the unfair actions of the police stressed that he will follow all the guidelines and do as they require.
“I do not see any reason as to why the police should use rubber bullets and tear gas to stop us from launching our office. It is really against the law and I call upon the police to work hand in hand with us this Tuesday so that we can have a peaceful event,” said Chameleone.
Earlier this week, plans by Jose Chameleone to open up his office political office were stopped after police dispersed all the guests saying they were not following the COVID 19 directives.
This left him with a rubber bullet shot on his leg, many of his supporters injured and others arrested.
Chameleone came out and explained that they had followed all the guidelines but it is just the culture of the police to always find excuses when they are in wrong.
The Kampala Metropolitan deputy spokesperson Luke Owoyesigyire said the Police were not aware of Chameleone’s claims that he was hurt by a rubber bullet.
He, however, said they would investigate the matter.
